Meaghan E. Vander Schaaf
Before joining Barnes, Richardson & Colburn, Meaghan specialized in international trade and customs law matters at another Chicago area firm. She also completed an internship with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Associate Chief Counsel.
Meaghan is a member of the Illinois bar and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of International Trade. Meaghan is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, where she is the former vice-chair of the Customs & US International Trade Law Committee and where she is also a member of the YLS International Corporate & Trade Law Committee and the International & Foreign Law Committee. She is the President of the Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT) and a member of the Customs & International Trade Bar Association (CITBA).
Meaghan graduated from Loyola University Chicago, School of Law in 2010. During her time at Loyola, she earned an International Law Certificate and studied abroad in Beijing, China with the Comparative Law Program. Meaghan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Millsaps College where she majored in Economics and minored in Business Administration and French.
