Mert Ermen Arkan
Arkan is a member of the District of Columbia Bar (2019), the American Bar Association, U.S. Court of International Trade (2019), and the Customs and International Trade Bar Association.
He graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 2018. During his time at Georgetown Mert earned a World Trade Organization Studies Certificate and was a member of the Journal of Law and Public Policy. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University, where he majored in Political Science and minored in Economics and Turkish.
Mert is fluent in English and Turkish and has three additional language qualifications at the IB (French, Spanish) and GCSE (German) level. Mert was born in the United States but spent his middle-school and high-school years studying at various international schools while living in Switzerland and Germany. He holds an EU work permit and has worked for a period of at least two months in seven different countries.
