May 17, 2012

On May 14, 2012 U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) Ronald Kirk and Secretary of Commerce John Bryson appointed Bradford Ward as director of the new Interagency Trade Enforcement Center (ITEC), and Constance Handley as ITEC’s deputy director.  At the Steel Manufacturers Association Conference the following day, Bryson declared that he expects ITEC to be operating in full, with about 50 staff, by the end of next year.

Bradford Ward serves as a Deputy General Counsel and Assistant USTR for Monitoring and Enforcement.  Prior to his work at the Office of the USTR, Ward practiced trade remedy litigation in the International Trade Group at Dewey Ballantine (now known as Dewey & LeBoeuf). He also served as an international trade analyst and program manager at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration (ITA). Constance Handley is a veteran of ITA and currently serves in the manufacturing and services division.
