USTR Requests Comments on International Services Agreement

The United States Trade Representative (USTR) recently announced the Administration’s intent to enter into negotiations to establish an International Services Agreement (ISA) with a group of twenty trading partners.  The 20 trading partners include Australia, Canada, Chile, Chinese Taipei, Colombia, Costa Rica, the European Union, Hong Kong China, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Switzerland and Turkey. The Office of the USTR is now requesting comments and will hold a public hearing regarding U.S. interests and priorities related to the ISA initiative. The hearing is scheduled for March 12, 2013. Written comments and requests to present oral testimony are due by noon on February 26, 2013.
