FDA to Conduct Centralized Entry Review Pilot

June 19, 2013

U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently announced it will run a Centralized Entry Review Pilot from August 12, 2013 until November 4, 2013.  The pilot will be limited to ports of entry that primarily function as courier hubs.  In order to increase efficiency, FDA expects all entries to be filed electronically through its Import Trade Auxiliary Communication Systems (ITACS).

Although the FDA plans to release more information closer to the initiation of the pilot, filers with pilot entry questions can contact CERpilot@fda.hhs.gov.
