On December 21, 2010 President Obama eliminated tariffs on over 700 pharmaceutical products and chemical intermediates via Presidential Proclamation 8618. Technical

corrections to HTS treatment are available in the International Trade Commission Publication 4208, “Modifications to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States to Implement Changes to the Pharmaceutical Appendix.” HTS modifications apply to articles entered or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption on or after January 1, 2011.
