WTO Database Allows User to Compare Applied and Legally Bound Tariff Rates

The World Trade Organization (WTO) recently launched an online database that allows users to compare its members legally bound tariff rate commitments with rates as actually charged. The database, known as the WTO Tariff Download Facility, is arranged according to the World Customs Organizations “Harmonized System” (HS) for defining product categories using six digit codes.
