ITC Issues Negative Injury Determination on Glycine

January 7, 2008

On January 3, 2008, the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) announced its final negative antidumping injury determinations, stating that the U.S. industry is neither materially injured nor threatened with material injury by reasons of imports of glycine from Japan and Korea.  As a result of these negative determinations, no antidumping duty orders will issue on subject imports from Japan and Korea.

It is expected that the the Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration (ITA) will soon send instructions to U.S. Customs and Border Protection regarding the lifting of suspension of liquidation on, and refunding and canceling antidumping cash deposits and releasing bonds for, entries of glycine from Japan and Korea.
