Customs to Hold Miami Cargo Seminar

Jan. 24, 2005

Customs has posted on its web site a notice announcing that it plans to hold a Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) supply chain security training seminar on April 18-21, 2005 in Miami, Florida. Participation in the seminar will be limited to C-TPAT certified members. Customs has defined "certified" members as those companies who have already received letters welcoming them into the C-TPAT program. Attendees to the seminar should be individuals directly responsible for the implementation of the C-TPAT program throughout their organization’s supply chains.

The seminar is entitled "Supply Chain Security in a New Business Environment." The agenda will focus on the need to improve supply chain security in the new business environment by strengthening the Customs/Trade cooperative partnership. Registration will be conducted via an on-line registration process beginning on February 14, 2005. Attendees will be selected on a first come, first serve basis and on certified C-TPAT membership status.
