China Challenges U.S. Antidumping and Countervailing Measures

On September 17, 2012, China notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) that it has requested consultations with the United States regarding countervailing and antidumping measures applied to a wide range of Chinese exports. These exports include paper, steel, tires, magnets, chemicals, kitchen appliances, wood flooring, and wind towers. Earlier today, the United States also announced that it has requested consultations with China regarding export subsidies for autos and auto parts.
