On September 24, 2012, Brazil announced temporary tariff reductions on 350 goods, including 150 renewals of tariff reductions and 200 new reductions. The tariff reductions also include a renewal and five new reductions for computer goods. The tariff reductions on capital goods, information technology, and telecommunications are focused on products not produced in Brazil and designed to benefit Brazil’s industries and economy.
