USTR to Consider Burma and Laos for GSP Benefits

On April 16, 2013, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) announced plans to review whether Burma and Laos should be designated as beneficiary developing countries under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) program and to review whether they should be considered least-developed beneficiary developing countries under GSP. The USTR will be accepting public comments until May 17, 2013, and will hold a public hearing on the issue on June 4, 2013.
