FDA Announces Upcoming Meetings on Proposed FSVP Regulations

The Food and Drug Administration announced a series of public meetings to address the concerns regarding the proposed rules on Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVP).  Implementation of the proposed FSVP rules would require importers to ensure both the imported goods and the suppliers are in compliance with FDA procedures to eliminate any possible food safety risks.  In accordance with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), the objective is to create both transparency and a safe international food industry.  This is the first of three public meetings, which will allow the public to submit comments, questions, and acquire additional information on FSVP.  Please see below for general meeting information:
