ICE and FSW Investigate Possible Violation of Lacey Act

The ICE and U.S. Fish and Wildlife (FWS) were granted a sealed search warrant to investigate the office of Lumber Liquidations, after possible import wood Lacey Act violations.  The alleged violation “relates to the importation of certain of the Company’s wood flooring products,” commented Lumber Liquidators.  The company also commented they “have policies in in place for the sourcing, harvesting and manufacturing of its products designed to comply with federal and other regulations.”  The reported raid was executed on September 26 and the case is still in the initial stages of the investigation.
