Victoria A. Espinel will be Nominated for the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations

The White House Office of the Press Secretary announced on October 16, 2014 that President Obama will nominate Victoria A. Espinel to the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations.  She is currently the president and CEO of BSA | The Software Alliance, which works to reduce software copyright infringement. Under the Obama Administration, Espinel was selected as the first US Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator.  Furthermore, she was the first person to fill the role of Assistant United States Trade Representative for Intellectual Property and Innovation.  In her leadership role, she authored a section on intellectual property that has been incorporated into each free trade agreement as of 2002.
