Treasury Releases Spring Regulatory Agenda for CBP, New ACE Proposal

May 24, 2016

The Treasury Department has released its spring regulatory agenda for CBP. As part of the new regulatory agenda, Treasury included a prohibition against “hybrid” customs filings. If put into effect, filers will be required to electronically submit both entry summary data and all data normally submitted through the International Trade Data System through the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).

The agency expects to make the official proposal in July.
