FSIS Gives the Green-Light to Select Namibian Beef Imports

July 12, 2016 – The Food Safety and Inspection Service will amend its regulations to allow the import of Namibian boneless beef products (e.g. primal cuts, chuck, blade, and trimmings), provided that they are processed in certified facilities. All such exports are subject to additional inspection at the port of entry.

The rule will be finalized and effective by September 12.
