U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued CSMS instructions on February 11, 2011 regarding the February 12, 2011 expiration of the Andean Trade Preferences Act and the Andean Trade promotion and Drug Eradication Act (ATPA/ATPDEA). Importers are required to pay the normal trade relations (column 1) rate for ATPA/ATPDEA-eligible goods entered after February 12, 2011. Additionally, claims with the special program indicators J and J+ will not be accepted for entry summaries with a duty computation date of February 13, 2011, or later.
