Brian F. Walsh Addresses Trump Administration Trade Policies at the Meritas Asian Regional Meeting in Singapore

On February 17, 2017, Chicago-based Barnes Richardson partner, Brian F. Walsh, addressed the Meritas Asian Regional Meeting in Singapore on the hot topic of “The Trump Administration’s Trade Policies: Implications for the Asian Region.”

The presentation focused on the legal bases for Presidential Authority over trade, the new roster of key government officials and the likely actions industry should be prepared for during coming months.

Among the highlights of the event was an address by Ambassador Tommy Koh, Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Government of Singapore, former Singaporean Permanent Representative to the UN, former Ambassador to the United States and Chief Negotiator of the US-Singapore Free Trade Agreement.
