New Senior Associate Hired at Chicago BRC Office

Barnes, Richardson & Colburn is happy to announce the recent addition of Meaghan E. Vander Schaaf to its Chicago team of professionals!

Meaghan represents clients before Customs and Border Protection in various matters: ruling requests, protests, prior disclosures, perfections, seizures, and penalty mitigation. She also advises clients regarding tariff classification, merchandise valuations, and antidumping/countervailing duties matters. She also assists clients with developing internal trade and customs compliance manuals for their employees and navigating country of origin labeling and rules of origin regulations.

Meghan is not only admitted to practice before the Court of International Trade is currently a member of the Illinois bar, but also is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Customs & International Trade Bar Association (CITBA), as well as president of the Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT).

Meaghan is a 2010 graduate from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a recipient of its International Law Certification. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Millsaps College.
