U.S. Trade Representative Issued Request for Comments re: Imposition of 25% Duties

Today the United States Trade Representative issued a request for comments concerning proposed action to impose 25% duties on almost all products from China not currently facing such duties. While there are a limited exclusions from the proposal, the overwhelming majority of imported articles are intended to be included. Importers have until June 17 to file comments. These comments are likely to be the most efficient way for many companies to express their opinion on this action, and potentially have certain products excluded from the new action.
