USTR Announces Section 301 List 4 Exclusion Process

Oct. 21, 2019

On October 18, 2019, the Office of the United States Trade Representative published a Federal Register Notice specifying the procedures for requesting an exclusion from additional Section 301 duties imposed on products of China classified within a tariff subheading set out on Annex A to List 4 (published on August 20, 2019).  "List 4" is the most recent set of China-specific tariffs and covers $300 billion in trade across a broad range of products including apparel, toys and other consumer goods. The window for seeking product exclusions will be open from noon on Oct 31st and will close 11:59 PM (ET), January 31, 2020. If your company imports goods subject to these duties, contact any Barnes/Richardson lawyer to discuss the exclusion process.
