August 15, 2011

On August 12, 2011, President Obama announced that he would continue the national emergency regarding export control regulations for one year. Executive Order 13222 was initially issued August 17, 2001, declaring a national emergency with respect to the unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States in light of the expiration of the Export Administration Act of 1979.
