DESCRIPTION OF MERCHANDISE

Merchandise included in this petition is defined as finished an unfinished non-malleable cast iron pipe fittings (including ductile fittings) with an inside diameter ranging from 1/4 inch to 6 inches whether threaded or unthreaded, regardless of industry or proprietary specification, used in, or intended for use in, non-malleable cast iron pipe fittings applications including fire protection systems and steam heat conveyance systems. The subject fittings include elbows, ells, tees, crosses, and reducers as well as flanged fittings. These pipe fittings are also known as cast iron pipe fittings or gray iron pipe fittings.

The product entering under any of the following HTS items are included in the petition: 7307.11.30 and 7307.11.60. Petitioners also request that certain non-malleable ductile fittings entering under 7307.19.30 also be subject to this petition.

FOREIGN PRODUCERS

Petitioners believe that a comprehensive list of Chinese foundries producing the subject merchandise will only be available from the Chinese government or relevant industry organization in China. Petitioners allege that to the best of their knowledge, the following foreign companies sell the subject merchandise in the United States at less than fair value:
