Antidumping Duty ITA Docket No. 2243 was filed on May 1, 2002, for Lawn & Garden Steel Fence Posts from the People's Republic of China. The dumping margins estimated by petitioners for China is between 69% and 156%.


DESCRIPTION OF MERCHANDISE

The merchandise subject to this petition is lawn and garden steel fence posts (in whatever form, shape or size) that are produced in China. These posts are usually "U" shaped or "hat" shaped or any other similar shape (excluding round or square tubing pipes).

These steel fence posts are usually made in two weight classes: (1) light duty - 14 gauge steel (.068"-.082" thick, 1 ¾ wide, and 6' long) and weighing approximately .45 lbs. per foot and packaged 10 in a bundle and 400 per master bundle and (2) heavy duty - 13 gauge steel (.082"-.095" thick, 3" wide by 5', 6', 7', and 8' long) and weighing approximately .90 lbs. per foot and packaged 5 in a bundle and 200 per master bundle.

This petition does not cover "tee" posts, farm posts or sign posts.

The merchandise subject to this investigation is typically classified in the following HTSUS subheading 7326.90.8535 and possibly under HTSUS subheading 7308.90.
