Barnes/Richardson Partner to Speak at Customs Compliance Event

Cortney O’Toole Morgan, a Partner in Barnes, Richardson & Colburn’s Washington, DC, office, is scheduled to speak at the American Conference Institute’s U.S. Customs Compliance Event on November 27-28, 2012. The event will focus on compliance with classification, valuation, country of origin, and FTA requirements, as well as ways to maximize duty savings and to reduce border delays, seizure and penalty risks.Ms. Morgan will address ways to maximize the benefits of the duty drawback program. She will also participate in a comprehensive mock audit and provide insights on managing and preparing for a focused assessment, and on responding to CBP requests during an audit.
