Tariff threats continue to change at a moments notice. President Trump is reportedly not proceeding with the tariff increase from 25% to 50% tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum announced just this morning.
This reporting comes after an alleged “productive” call between Ontario Premier Doug Ford and President Trump. The Premier’s tariff threat on electricity supplied to several U.S. states has also been suspended since today’s earlier developments.
We will continue to report on these developments. Do not hesitate to contact any attorney at Barnes, Richardson & Colburn, LLP if you have any questions regarding steel or aluminum tariffs.
