Larry Friedman Speaks on International Trade and Morality

Jan. 29, 2007

On Monday, January 29, Chicago-based partner Larry Friedman participated in a panel discussion on trade and morality for the Archdiocese of Chicago.  Larry touched upon the trade rules implemented by agreements such as the NAFTA, CAFTA-DR, and the WTO.  Larry’s basic point was that engaging trading partners in free trade agreements gives the U.S. the forum and leverage to improve conditions for the poor in these countries.  Also participating in the discussion were individuals with personal and business experience in Central and South America and the larger trade community.  The show, entitled “Free Trade,” is available as a podcast for download.
