Trump Apparently Halts Canada Tariffs

Hours before 25% duties were to be collected against Canadian goods imported into the United States the countries appear to have reached an agreement to delay duties by at least 30 days. Prime Minister Trudeau tweeted that Canada had agreed to take a number of measures designed to address the flow of fentanyl into the United States. According to Trudeau, these measures are the basis for an agreement to delay the tariffs (presumably including Canada’s retaliatory tariffs) and “continue to work together.”
