On August 11, the White House announced that the president has signed an order extending the current tariffs on Chinese goods for an additional 90 days (until roughly November 11, 2025). The move comes as trade negotiations between the United States and China continue, with both sides seeking a long-term resolution to ongoing disputes over trade practices, intellectual property, and market access.
While at the time of this writing no text was available to review, news outlets report that the order simply leaves the current status quo in place. If you have any questions about trade with China (or anywhere else) do not hesitate to contact any attorney at Barnes, Richardson & Colburn, LLP.
