USITC Posts Updated Harmonized Tariff Schedule for 2009

The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) has posted to its web site the 2009 Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), which became effective January 1, 2009. Accordingly, the HTS has been updated to include many of changes that took effect January 1, 2009, such as the U.S. Oman Free Trade Agreement and the Dominican Republic-Central America Free Trade Agreement (DR-CAFTA) entry into force for Costa Rica. Future proclamations are expected to implement North American Free Trade Agreement Rules of Origin amendments, possibly by February 1, 2009.
