CBP to Begin Full ISF Enforcement

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recently announced that on July 9, 2013, it will start fully enforcing its Import Security Filer Program (ISF) and begin issuing damages against noncompliance.  Currently, CBP uses a “measured and common-sense approach” to ISF enforcement that encourages compliance while minimizing disruption to trade.
