U.S. Distributes Primer on New Customs Enforcement Procedures

U.S. government officials provided fellow WTO members with a paper detailing the new customs enforcement measures which will be implemented under the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act that was passed last month. Under the new act, CBP officials will be held to strict deadlines for responding to complaints of evasion of AD/CVD duties, and the CBP will enjoy greater latitude in issuing adverse findings against parties who do not fully cooperate with the investigation.
