U.S. Sugar Makers Call for Renegotiation of 2014 Suspension Agreement with Mexico

U.S. and Mexican officials are considering a renegotiation of two suspension agreements, concluded in 2014, regarding an AD/CVD case against Mexican sugar exports. American sugar producers allege that current definitions for raw sugar allow Mexican producers to export sugar which, though technically raw, needs no further refinement in order to be used in commercial applications.
