COBRA Fees for Customs Users Adjust for Inflation

On August 1, 2018, U.S. Customs and Border Protection published an official notice announcing that the customs user fees and limitations provided for by the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) will increase during Fiscal Year 2019.

The minimum and maximum Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) for customs COBRA users have changed to $26.22 and $508.70, respectively. The MPF rates, however, remain unchanged for the upcoming fiscal year.
